| The Coca-Cola Form and Fusion Design Awards is a visually exciting and educational nationwide competition. It is a recycling competition,where students have to design a costume based on a theme of their choice - the costumes must be made from recyclable or reusable materials. |  |

This year, second year students from Larkin entered three costumes. The first costume is titled "Gotta be a wanna be", and is based on pop culture and how young people today would love to be popstars. The costume is made up of Music CDs and the hat shows different pop stars. |

The second costume is called "Underground addictor". It is based on the terrible effect that drink, drugs and smoking have on young people today. The skirt is made up of beer cans - the front of the top is made up of cigarette boxes, and the back is made up of plastic bags that hold pictures of drugs. The cross symbolises death as the further young people get into a life of addiction, the closer they get to death. |  |
 | The third costume is called "Babe-le-in". It is a representation of what would happen if humans and aliens decided to have babies together. It is made up of wood, wire, paper, and lots of paste to hold it all together. Babe-le-in is Larkin's entry in the finals of the Awards. Every year, our school takes part in the Coca-Cola Form and Fusion Design Awards. It is a lot of hard work, but great fun, and a good day out is had by the students. |
